This policy covers two different things, and they are kept separate on purpose because they handle data differently:
Every calculator on this site computes in your browser. The figures you type — income, loan balances, share prices, immigration points — are not transmitted to us, are not stored on our servers, and are not associated with you. Values placed in a shareable link are encoded in the URL itself; they leave your browser only if you choose to share that link.
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-3261418352127367). Google and its partners act as third-party vendors and use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use these cookies to serve personalised or non-personalised advertising. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove advertising; it makes the advertising you see non-personalised.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Q9JESYMLQX) to understand which pages are visited and how people arrive. It records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. It does not record the figures you enter into a calculator. You can prevent collection with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the lawful basis for advertising and analytics cookies is your consent, collected through a consent management platform before those cookies are set; the lawful basis for operating the site itself is our legitimate interest in providing it. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time.
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. Use of advertising cookies by third-party vendors may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; the opt-out links in section A2 exercise that right.
To exercise any of these rights, email the address in section C. We do not hold an account for you, so a request generally concerns the cookies your own browser holds — which you can also clear yourself at any time.
We keep no server-side record of your visit. Retention of analytics and advertising data is governed by Google as the processor of that data, under the policies linked above.
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
This section applies to the iOS application only. Nothing in Part A applies to it.
No data collection. The app does not collect, store, or share any personal information. All inputs and calculations are performed entirely on your device, and no data is sent to any external server or third party.
Data usage. Data entered into the app is used solely to calculate your estimated British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program score.
Third-party services. The app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
No account required. You do not need to create an account or provide a login, name, email, or any other personal detail to use the app.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, for the app, posted within the app or on its App Store listing.
