The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program ranks the people who register in it rather than accepting everyone who qualifies. Registrants are scored, and invitations are drawn from the top of the pool for a given stream. This page estimates the score a registration profile would carry, so you can see where you stand before you commit to an application.
The inputs fall into a few groups. Your job offer describes the position a British Columbia employer has offered you: its skill level, and where in the province the work is located, since work outside the metropolitan area is treated differently from work inside it. Your experience covers how long you have been paid to do that kind of work, and whether any of it happened in Canada. Your education covers the highest credential you hold and whether you earned it in Canada. Your language covers the result of an approved English or French test.
Answer for the situation you are in today, not the one you expect to be in. A credential you have not yet been awarded and a test you have not yet sat do not count, and entering them produces a score you cannot act on.
The total is a position estimate, not a decision. It is only meaningful against the scores actually invited in recent draws for the stream you are registering under, and those move. The most useful thing the total does is comparative: change one answer, and you can see which part of your profile the program rewards most, and therefore where an extra certificate or a retaken language test would pay off.
This is an unofficial reference tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Province of British Columbia, and nothing here is immigration or legal advice. Only the BC Provincial Nominee Program decides who is invited and who is nominated, the program changes its criteria and its scoring without notice, and this page can lag behind such a change. Confirm anything you intend to rely on against the program itself, and consult an authorized representative before you file.
